JD Grants

The Dean’s Grant is a small grant awarded by Delaware Law to assist needy students in covering costs associated with their law studies. To be considered for this grant, returning students must complete their financial aid applications by April 1; incoming students have a rolling deadline based on the student’s date of admission. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional financial need to be awarded a grant from this program.

The Delaware State Grant is awarded to Delaware residents on the basis of need. This $1,000 annual grant comes from the Delaware Scholarship Incentive Program (ScIP).  Applicants must have their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processed by April 15. No additional application is necessary as FAFSA results will automatically be released to the State if you indicate residency. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
