For students matriculating summer 2017 and later:

Our curriculum is focused, innovative, and constructed to help our students obtain the skills, knowledge, and professionalism they’ll need as beginning lawyers. For students matriculating in summer 2017 and later, the requirements are as follows*:

 

  • Applied Learning Lab (1 credit)
  • Applied Practice Lab (1 credit)
  • Bar Exam Success: Strategies and Skills (3 credits)
  • Civil Procedure I (4 credits) and Civil Procedure II (2 credits)
  • Constitutional Law I (2 credits) and Constitutional law II (4 credits)
  • Contracts I (4 credits) and Contracts II (4 credits)
  • Criminal Law (3 credits)
  • Criminal Procedure (3 credits)
  • Evidence (4 credits)
  • Legal Methods I (3 credits), Legal Methods II (2 credits), and Legal Methods III (2 credits)
  • Legal Problem Solving (2 credits)
  • Professional Responsibility (3 credits)
  • Property I (4 credits) and Property II (2 credits)
  • Torts I (4 credits) and Torts II (2 credits)

In addition to the above 61 credits, students have a remaining 29 credits for electives (for a total of 90 credits).

Students must take at least 12 credits that are experiential in nature, at least six of which are clinics, externships or other designated live representation experiences.

For students who matriculated prior to the Summer of 2017:

Students who complete the first two semesters of law school with a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or above must complete the following courses in the second column. Students who complete the first two semesters of law school with a cumulative grade point average below 2.7 must complete the following following courses from the third column
