The recipient is accountable to the Chief Judge (or his chambers designee) for assignments, scheduling and hours. The selection criteria include that the student is intelligent, honest and hard-working, and has an interest in practicing commercial or bankruptcy law in Delaware. Maria will be presented with the Ambro Fellowship Award at a formal ceremony in Philadelphia in June.
Maria is a dean’s honors student at Delaware Law, a member of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, and a First State Merit Scholar. She is a cum laude graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she majored in political science. She presently works at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, P.C., as a law clerk where she researches and analyzes case and statutory law to draft legal memoranda.
