Keeshea Turner Roberts
This year, three respected professors joined Delaware Law School’s renowned faculty, each bringing their own interdisciplinary legal knowledge further deepening the exceptional legal education at Delaware Law School.
A first-generation lawyer and advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves, Assistant Professor Keeshea Turner Roberts is an expert in fair housing and litigation and mediation for respondents in domestic violence cases. Prior to her time at Delaware Law, she was co-director of the Civil Protection Order Project at Rising for Justice in Washington, D.C., taught and co-directed a Fair Housing Clinic at Howard University School of Law also in Washington, DC.
In 2021, Professor Turner Roberts was named a Bellow Scholar by the Association of American Law School’s Committee on Lawyers in Public Interest. She currently teaches civil procedure I and II, family law, family law skills and law and poverty where she is deeply invested in the success of her students -- especially her students of color. “It is very important for people of color to see someone who looks like them doing this type of work. When I was in law school, I didn’t even know it was possible,” she said.
Sara Hildebrand
Assistant Professor Sara Hildebrand joined the Delaware Law School faculty to further her goal of “affording the opportunity to students to understand systemic injustice.” An authority on racial inequity in the juvenile delinquency and adult criminal legal systems, her scholarship has been published in the Penn State Law Review, the Villanova Law Review, and the Mississippi Law Journal. Prior to joining Delaware Law, she earned her LLM in clinical legal education and was a Christopher N. Lasch Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Criminal Defense Clinic at the University of Denver Strum College of Law. Before joining legal academia, Hildebrand was a public defender for over six years in the Colorado State Public Defender system.
The first in her family to attend college and law school, Assistant Professor Jennifer Sturiale graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University. She also graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an executive articles editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
Jennifer Sturiale
After law school, she served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Robert A. Katzmann of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Professor Sturiale’s scholarship focuses on issues at the intersection of civil procedure, complex litigation, intellectual property, and antitrust. During her first year at Delaware Law School, she is teaching Civil Procedure and Property. But in the years ahead, she anticipates teaching Intellectual Property and Competition Law as well. Prior to joining Delaware, Professor Sturiale taught Legal Research and Writing as a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. She has also taught Advanced Antitrust Economics & the Law at Georgetown, Civil Procedure and Property at the University Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and Civil Procedure and Intellectual Property Law at the George Mason Antonin Scalia Law School. Professor Sturiale particularly enjoys teaching first-year law students highly technical concepts by deconstructing them so as to make them more accessible.
