Orientation is the first step in your law school journey, and we can’t wait to get started! From introductions to case briefing and exam taking techniques to wellness and academic support programs, we have designed an Orientation program to provide you with the tools to succeed in law school. Student Health Insurance Information
The American Bar Association provides insurance options for law student members. More information about the ABA and their insurance options can be found at abainsurance.com/student-health/.

Students attending Delaware Law School who are sponsored by a current member of the Delaware Bar may apply for student membership in the Delaware State Bar Association (DSBA). Student members of the DSBA are eligible to apply for health insurance through the DSBA. For more information, visit dsba.org/law-student-membership/.

Tobacco Free Policy
In order to promote a healthy environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors, Widener University is tobacco free on all campuses. The Tobacco Free Policy applies to all university faculty, staff, students, visitors, contractors and guests at all times. The use of tobacco, including smoking, is prohibited within university facilities, outdoor areas, and university owned vehicles.

Summer Hours
Beginning in late May, the Law School will follow its summer schedule. Hours are extended Monday through Thursday. All offices will be closed on Friday until Orientation. For specific hours, use office contact information (pdf) to connect with individual offices.

Finalize Your Enrollment
Your acceptance is conditioned upon receipt by the Law School of an official transcript showing successful completion of your undergraduate studies and the award of your baccalaureate degree. You MUST submit your final official transcript showing the award of your baccalaureate degree to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) by August 1st.

Delaware state regulations require that you submit proof that you are fully vaccinated against Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR) prior to enrollment at Delaware Law. For more information, please review the MMR Immunization Requirement Memorandum (pdf). MMR records must be submitted to Delaware Law no later than August 1st

Bookstore

Widener University provides an online bookstore for all of its schools and campuses. Books may be purchased at any time online but are not available for purchase at the Delaware Law School campus. Students may order their books at their convenience by visiting the Widener University Online Bookstore.
