Externship Placement Opportunities
Our location in Delaware—with Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland in our backyard—gives our students significant advantages for securing judicial and clinical externship opportunities.
With an externship, you will earn academic credit, hone your research and writing skills, and experience the day-to-day working life of practicing attorneys and judges. Second- and third-year externship participants work with judges, state and local prosecutors, public defenders, and attorneys in legal service and government agencies.
Your choices will include:
- Clinical public interest externships with prominent attorneys in government and public service law offices
- Judicial externships with state and federal judges in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey
- Health law externships in hospitals and healthcare organizations
