About Delaware Law

Delaware Law has long served a state whose law, legal traditions, and legal culture are unique and renowned throughout the nation. Since our founding, we have built our reputation on the core values of integrity, civility, creative collaboration, intellectual achievement, and a commitment to the greater good.

Our training is comprehensive. We equip aspiring lawyers with strong academics and emphasize experiential learning in institutes, clinics, and externships.  We instruct paralegals and legal nurse practitioners who need certification for their work. We train professionals in compliance with legal regulations. We provide continuing legal education to ensure that attorneys stay current on new laws and best practices. We offer advanced degrees to foreign lawyers interested in corporate law and health law… and more.

Delaware Law fosters an understanding of the world, its people, and its cultures as we prepare a diverse student community for the future. We instill in our students a respect for the law as an instrument of positive change and provide abundant opportunities for pro bono work and civic engagement.

Above all, we find joy in what we do. We value creativity and appreciate the benefits that come from a community of scholars who develop fresh legal insights. We remain intellectually nimble, contributing to the public debates of our day.

We have earned our solid credentials. Since 1975, Delaware Law has been accredited by the American Bar Association. We are a member of the Association of American Law Schools and the International Association of Law Schools.

“Delaware Law grads enter the workforce with experience. The legal environment here is active and engaging, and I got a wonderful introduction to the legal system. The Delaware Bar is very close knit, and the law school has a good reputation for training skilled attorneys.”
