Requirements for Transfer and Visiting Applicants

Delaware Law encourages transfer and visiting applicants to apply in any semester and looks forward to welcoming you to our community.

Delaware Law admits transfer applicants who, after successful completion of one full year of law school, are in good academic standing and are generally in the top third in their law school class. If you wish to transfer, submit a certified law school transcript, your law school class rank, and a letter of good standing. Individual transcript review will be conducted in order to determine how many transfer credits, up to a maximum of 30 credit hours, will be accepted for prior coursework at another law school. Criteria for acceptance of credits earned include a grade of C or better in a course and assessment of the underlying course content to ensure adequate rigor and compatibility with Delaware Law School's curriculum.

Visiting (transient) applicants may be admitted as non-matriculating students. Submit a certified transcript, letter of good standing, and letter of permission from your law school.
