Recent Alum to clerk for Delaware Supreme Court Justice
Jillian A. Tyson, who graduated from Delaware Law Summa Cum Laude this past May, will clerk for the Honorable Karen L. Valihura during the 2021-22 Delaware Supreme Court term after finishing her current clerkship with the Honorable Andrea L. Rocanelli of the Delaware Superior Court.
During her time at the Delaware Law School, Jillian served as the Bluebook Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, and she earned Pro Bono Distinction for volunteer legal service for her work in the Veteran’s Law Clinic, Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, and the Wills for Heroes Program. She received the 2020 Dean’s Award, which is awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the Dean of the law school, has demonstrated outstanding legal aptitude, exemplary service, significant leadership skills, and the potential to become an outstanding member of the legal community. She also received the William J. and Ella C. Wolf Award for excellence in real property law or real estate development, and in 2019-20, she served as the John F. Schmutz Corporate and Business Law Institute Fellow.
