Maryann Brown is the Co-Director of the Academic Success Program and an Associate Professor at Delaware Law School. Professor Brown received a B.A. in English from Loyola College in Maryland in 1986 and a J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 1990. Named as a Clinical Fellow in 1990, Professor Brown worked as a staff attorney for Widener's Pennsylvania Civil Clinic until 1992 while earning an LL.M. in Taxation. From 1992 to 1993, Professor Brown worked as the Legal Services Manager at the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County.
Professor Brown worked as full-time faculty at the Legal Education Institute of Widener University Delaware Law School from 1993 until 2001, where she taught in the areas of Evidence, Criminal Law, Family Law, Constitutional Law, and Legal Research and Writing. She served as Interim Director of the Legal Education Institute for the 2000-2001 academic year. Professor Brown taught Constitutional Law and Introduction to Law for the Health Law Institute’s Masters of Jurisprudence program as an adjunct faculty member at Widener University Delaware Law School from 1998 until 2001.
Professor Brown taught as an adjunct faculty member at Widener University Delaware Law School from 1998 until 2001. Professor Brown taught Comparative Family Law in the Australia Summer Program in 2005. Currently, Professor Brown is an academic advisor in the Office of Student Affairs and teaches in the areas of Legal Methods, Professional Responsibility, Torts, Applied Learning Labs, Orientation, Legal Problem Solving, and Academic Success for the Delaware Law School.
