Mr. Rhoades has spent the bulk of his ten-plus years with Pfizer conducting internal investigations and developing a proactive compliance monitoring function within Pfizer's Corporate Compliance Division.

Stephen Rhoades is Compliance Corporate Counsel for the Global Innovative Pharma Business. Within this role, Stephen helps provide oversight for compliance programs within the GIP business by helping to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks across the GIP product portfolio. Stephen routinely collaborates with other Compliance and Legal colleagues to ensure: optimum training is provided across the GIP brands, our policies and procedures comply with healthcare laws and regulations and the business is provided adequate counsel on key compliance issues associated with all aspects of product promotion. Prior to his current role, Stephen played a pivotal role in developing a Promotional Quality Assurance (PQA) group within Pfizer’s Corporate Compliance function. In this role, Stephen led a team of PQA analysts in proactively monitoring and analyzing U.S. promotional activities to identify potential compliance signals (e.g. false claims, anti-kickback and potential off-label) and to provide Pfizer legal and business colleagues with real-time information supporting legal risk mitigation. In Stephen’s 14 plus years with Pfizer, he has accumulated a broad spectrum of legal and compliance experience, encompassing Litigation, Internal Investigations, Brand Product Counsel, PQA compliance monitoring and Business Unit Compliance.
