Cost of Attendance

Tuition and fees are combined with expected living expenses to create a standard cost of attendance. A cost of attendance is also referred to as a budget. A student's financial aid in an academic year may not exceed the cost of attendance. Financial aid includes merit-based aid, loans, outside scholarships, and grants.

The charts below provide a breakdown of the 2016-17 Cost of Attendance based on program for fall/spring enrollment.

*JD 1st and 2nd Year Full Time credit load is calculated at 30 credits for fall/spring. 3rd Year JD Full Time credit load is calculated at 28 credits for fall/spring. Tuition is charged on a per credit basis and is $1,452.00/credit for the 2016-2017 academic year.

 *Students in their final year of law school will have an additional $625 added to their cost of attendance to cover the cost of one bar exam. 

LLM and Dual Degree JD Programs will have a COA calculated based on the following components and expected per credit enrollment for fall/spring. Tuition is charged on a per credits basis and is $1,452/credit for JD/LLM classes.

Graduate Compliance Programs: Master of Jurisprudence or Graduate Certificates students will have a COA calculated based on the following components and expected per credit enrollment for fall/spring. Tuition is charged on a per credits basis and is $1,098/credit for MJ/GC classes.

2016-2017 Cost of Attendance Components:

LEI Programs: Bachelors, Associates and Certificate Students will have a COA calculated based on the following components and expected per credit enrollment for fall/spring. Tuition is charged on a per credits basis and is determined by type of class, LEI (478/credit) or Continuing Studies (600/credit).

Individual budgets may be altered to account for unusual or emergency situations that a student may encounter. These adjustments can only be made for expenses necessary for the student’s education. The student must fully document (copies of bills and detailed budget plan) any request for an increase in expenses.
